pleasure. it's all in the mind
Ever wondered why people who go jogging often have that incredibly smug look on their faces? Well it's not smugness – it's real pleasure, the same feeling normal people experience when they eat chocolate biscuits. Endorphins – or endogenous morphines, to give them their original name – are the chemicals you're producing in the brain when you feel pleasure. Endorphins can be released when you laugh, exercise, eat chocolate, sunbathe, sing or listen to your favourite music. So next time you're feeling a bit sad, don't ask a bacon sandwich to make you feel happy. Sing a song, watch something funny or, better still, get some exercise.
i can't stress this
Beating stress is hugely important these days. There are few things worse for your health than prolonged anxiety. But what are the best ways to take our minds off our problems? Swimming is one method you can really count on. Just dive in and splash away until all that tension has disappeared. If you can't make it to the local pool, there's always music to un-ruffle those feathers. The best music to unwind to is something you already really like, so if Donny Osmond puts you in your happy place, turn it up loud, or better still, put some headphones on; after all, you don't want to give your neighbours any extra stress.
massage in a bottle
Here's a question. Is it better to give a massage or to receive one? To find the answer, lay your hands on a bottle of massage oil, find a willing accomplice and get rubbing, or rubbed. On the one hand, you'll have the incredible feeling of having your stress smoothed away by two willing hands. On the other hand, there's the enormous satisfaction of taking away someone's muscular tension and leaving them purring with pleasure.

2 red apples
125ml white wine
1 dessert sp sugar
150g Onken Natural Set Yogurt
1 slice of lemon
1 lime
Wash and core the apples and slice into ½ cm thin slices. Mix the white wine and sugar into a pan and bring to the boil. Add the apple slices and cook with the lid on for 5 minutes. Take the apple slices out of the pan and leave to cool.
On 4 plates, using the apple slices, create a tower of 4 slices on top of each other. Mix the Onken Wholemilk Natural Set Yogurt with the 2 dessert spoons of wine. Cut the lemon into slices. Wash the lime in hot water, dry, slice thinly and grate the rind. Cut the lime into 4 slices and squeeze the lime juice out of the remainder of the lime. Mix this lime juice with the half of the lemon. Divide the crème sauce equally and pour over the apple towers. Garnish with red berries for decoration.
