Can I recycle my BIOPOT?

Unfortunately our packaging is no longer recyclable but with our recent packaging changes, our weight is reduced and this has led to a packaging reduction of 100 tonnes every year. If you wish to recycle your BIOPOT, please contact your local authority to find out whether they have the facilities to recycle plastic.

Where can I buy my favourite Onken products?

We'll tell you which retailers stock which products. Just click on the products to find out where each delicious product can be purchased.

Are Onken BIOPOT yogurts suitable for diabetics?

Onken Strawberry Fat Free BIOPOT (the slimmer one) has a very low sugar content so could be suitable for diabetics. You'll find full details of sugar content on our packaging, or you can delve into our BIOPOT product section.

I'm on a gluten free diet – can I eat Onken?

You can enjoy all the Onken goodness of our Natural and Fat Free BIOPOTs but unfortunately our Wholegrain BIOPOTs will be off the menu.

What about nut allergies?

All of our yummy yogurts and mousses are 100% okay to delve into. They come into the world in a different place.

Are Onken Biopots suitable for pregnant women?

The Onken dairy uses only pasteurised milk so mums-to-be can dip into tubs of our lovely yogurt as much as they want.

Can Onken products be frozen?

We don't recommend it, because the Onken ingredients can separate when they're defrosted. All Onken yogurts just love to be eaten straight from the fridge. They don't like being frozen. So be nice and delve in within three days of opening. Usually not a problem for our team who eat it all in one go!

What is live bio yogurt?

Bacteria isn't always bad – honest. Onken Biopot contains 2 Live Bio cultures - Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium longum and 1 live culture - Streptococcus thermophilus, which helps give it a mild, fresh, creamy taste. We go live at Onken by warming the milk at a crucial point then adding cultures to ferment the lactose (milk sugar). The yogurt isn't pasteurized again, so the cultures survive – and that's why it's called ‘live'.

Do Onken BIOPOTs contain artificial flavourings, colours or preservatives?

Our 500g Natural, Fruit and Wholegrain ranges and 1KG Natural smooth contain no artificial flavourings, colours or preservatives and we're working on the rest of our 1KG range to remove them.
